Spinal Flow®
“The path to well-being begins within”
The Spinal Flow Technique is based on the understanding that unresolved stress, whether physical (from injury) or emotional (from trauma), can lead to protective tension and stiffness around the spine. This response is the body’s natural way of guarding the spinal cord, which houses the central nervous system. However, this stiffness can restrict the flow of signals along the nervous system, disrupting communication between the brain and the body.
Over time, these disruptions may manifest as pain, discomfort, or dysfunction in various areas of the body. The Spinal Flow Technique aims to identify and release these areas of tension, referred to as “blockages.” By clearing these blockages, the technique restores the nervous system’s ability to function optimally, promoting healing, reducing pain, and improving overall well-being.
Spinal Flow can help with:
• Chronic pain
• Headaches
• Fibromyalgia
• Chronic fatigue
• Digestive issues
• Reproductive issues
• Anxiety
• Depression
The Spinal Flow Technique® is about the body’s ability to heal
-
The Spinal Flow® Technique was developed by Dr Carli Axford over 20 years of research, observation and clinical success. It combines her understanding of the spine, nervous system and Life Force Energy into a simple method that harnesses the body’s innate ability to heal itself.
The Spinal Flow Technique™ activates the body’s healing wave through gentle touch on access points along the spine and head. This healing wave works to release areas of imbalance, allowing true healing to begin.
-
To prepare for your Spinal Flow session, make sure to wear loose-fitting clothing, such as comfortable pants or shorts—avoid tight leggings. Loose clothing allows for greater ease of movement and helps you feel relaxed throughout the treatment. There’s no need to remove your clothes during the session, so just come as you are and get ready to unwind.
-
Spinal Flow has a powerful impact on the body’s healing ability, as everything is connected to the spine. The Spinal Flow Technique™ can help with issues ranging from brain fog and sleep disorders to food sensitivities, thyroid concerns, disc problems, anxiety, and more.
We believe in the body’s natural capacity to heal, knowing it regenerates cells constantly. However, blockages in the body's "communication wires" can hinder this process. The Spinal Flow Technique™ works to identify and clear these blockages, allowing your body to self-repair.
-
Blockages form when life’s stressors impact us emotionally, physically, or neurologically, and we lack the tools to fully process and heal from them. In these cases, our bodies hold onto these experiences as a way of coping.
These blockages aren’t anyone’s fault; they’re simply the body’s response to unprocessed experiences. The Spinal Flow Technique™ works to relieve and release these unresolved issues, creating space for the body to heal naturally.
-
A typical Spinal Flow session lasts about 20-25 minutes. This includes time for a brief check-in to discuss any changes or concerns, followed by the hands-on treatment.
-
The number of sessions varies depending on individual needs and health goals. Some people feel significant relief after just a few sessions, while others may benefit from regular treatments to address chronic issues or support ongoing wellness. We can discuss a personalized plan based on your specific goals.

After a Spinal Flow session, many clients feel a sense of relaxation, lightness, and improved alignment. You may notice immediate relief or feel the benefits build gradually over time. Some clients also experience an emotional release, as the technique helps release stored tension in the body. Drinking water after your session and taking time to rest can help support your body’s healing.
-
Spinal Flow has been beneficial for people dealing with a variety of conditions, including chronic pain, headaches, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, digestive issues, anxiety, and depression. By working with the nervous system, Spinal Flow helps restore balance, which can alleviate symptoms related to these conditions. While results vary, many clients find it an effective part of their wellness journey.
-
Spinal Flow is a non-invasive technique focused on gently balancing the nervous system through light touch, unlike chiropractic adjustments, which involve spinal manipulation. Unlike massage therapy, which targets muscles and soft tissues, Spinal Flow primarily addresses the spine and nervous system, helping the body release blockages and return to a state of natural healing. Each approach has its benefits, and Spinal Flow offers a unique way to support both physical and emotional well-being.
